UK casinos compared on game range and live tablesFive licensed sites, eight criteria, one table.

UK Table Compare is an independent comparison site, funded by affiliate commission and run by nobody's marketing department. We are not a casino and never act as one: no games run here, no accounts are opened, no money passes through this site. What we do is read licence records, work through game lobbies and live-dealer rooms, and score five UK Gambling Commission licensees on the same criteria — with game variety and live tables carrying the most weight.

Monthly

Round numbers on purpose. Five sites, eight columns each, revisited about once a month — none of this comes from a survey, a poll or a user vote, and we don't publish counts we can't stand behind. Gambling can be addictive. Set a limit before you start, treat any spend as the cost of entertainment, and use the free support listed at the foot of every page if it stops feeling like entertainment.

Method

How we compare operators

Every entry starts with the licence and ends with a number out of ten. In between the work is deliberately dull: the same eight criteria, applied in the same order, so 8.1 means the same thing on every row.

  1. Licence first

No licence, no listing. Each site must hold a current UK Gambling Commission operating licence for the games we describe, and every card links to the public register so you can confirm it yourself.

  2. Then the games

How deep the slot catalogue runs, which studios are represented, whether the live rooms cover roulette, blackjack and baccarat, and how the lobby holds up on a phone.

  3. Then the write-up

Scores come from the criteria, not from commission rates. Where a site is narrow we say so: Happy Tiger sits last in this table and still suits readers who want a small, quiet lobby.

The licence check, and what it gets you

A UK licence is not a decoration. It is the reason the protections listed here apply to all five sites in the table, and the difference between a site we will list and one we won't.

Search the UKGC public register by trading name or website to check any operator, including the five below. Commission rates play no part in the order of this table, and no operator reads a review before it publishes.

  • All licensed operators are signed up to GamStop, so a single self-exclusion registration covers every one of them.
  • Deposit limits and time-outs must be available in your account settings; a reduction takes effect immediately, an increase does not.
  • Games are tested by independent laboratories before release, and a slot spin in Great Britain cannot run faster than 2.5 seconds.
  • Autoplay is banned on online slots, as are effects that celebrate a return smaller than the stake as though it were a win.
  • A complaint you can't settle with the operator goes to an approved ADR provider at no cost to you.
The table

Eight criteria, five UK-licensed casinos

The licence column is a factual check against the public register. Every other column is our rating, and the score is the weighted result — game range and live tables count most, support and usability least.

Happy Tigerhappytiger.co.uk Licensed Compact Limited Narrow Deposit match Basic Solid A small, simple lobby 7.4 /10

Scroll the table sideways to reach every column; the operator names stay in place.

Ratings are editorial judgements about published catalogues and site behaviour, not laboratory measurements, and they change when a site does. Licence status is the one column you should never take on trust from anybody, including us: the register is free, public and takes about twenty seconds to search. Offer types describe the shape of a welcome promotion rather than a figure, because amounts and conditions are set by the operator and move without notice.

Affiliate disclosure

The buttons on the cards below are commercial links. If you open an account through one, UK Table Compare may be paid a commission by the operator — sometimes for the click, more often for a registration. You are never charged for it, no operator pays you through this site, and we are not a party to any bet, deposit or account you go on to open. Commission does not buy a rating, a badge or a place in the order. Read the full disclosure.

The five operators

Ranked, with the licence detail attached

In the order the table scores them. Each card carries the licensing authority, the exact licensed domain and the date we last looked — plus a direct route to the register, because a badge on a website proves nothing. Licensee names and account numbers are the register's job, and we would rather send you there than print a number we haven't checked.

  1. NYSpins logo

    NYSpins

    nyspins.com

    8.6 Score /10
    • Deepest slot shelf here
    • Live roulette and blackjack
    • Jackpot section

NYSpins wears its New York theme loudly and then gets out of the way: underneath the styling sits the widest slot catalogue in this table, with the big studio names and a jackpot shelf kept separate from the main lobby. Live dealer play is available rather than central — roulette and blackjack tables, with the usual game-show formats alongside them.

It scores highest because breadth is the point of the site and the search and filter tools are good enough to make that breadth usable, which is not a given when a lobby runs to hundreds of titles. Readers who mainly want a seat at a live table will find deeper rooms elsewhere; readers hunting a specific slot will rarely come away empty-handed.

  2. Jackpot Star logo

    Jackpot Star

    jackpotstar.com

    8.3 Score /10
    • Jackpot-led lobby
    • Phone-first design
    • Live roulette

The name is the product strategy: progressive and fixed jackpot slots sit at the front of the lobby, and the rest of the catalogue is arranged around them rather than the other way round. Live tables are present without being the draw, and the whole site is clearly built for a phone screen first.

That focus is a strength and a limit. If you want the jackpot titles collected in one place with minimum hunting, this is the tidiest example in the table; if you came for a broad live-dealer floor or the long tail of small-studio slots, three other sites here do more.

  3. Spin Genie logo

    Spin Genie

    spingenie.com

    8.1 Score /10
    • Balanced slots and live
    • Established UK brand
    • Easy first hour

Spin Genie is an established name rather than a recent arrival, and it shows in the shape of the site: a mid-sized slot catalogue that is curated rather than exhaustive, a live-dealer section covering the standard tables, and navigation that assumes you might be new to all of it.

Nothing here is the biggest in the table, which is rather the point — it is the entry we would hand to someone opening their first casino account, because the first hour involves the least guesswork. Experienced slot players may find the shelves shorter than they'd like.

  4. 10Bet logo

    10Bet

    10bet.co.uk

    7.8 Score /10
    • Sport and casino, one login
    • Solid live floor
    • Narrower slot shelf

10Bet has been trading since the early 2000s as a sportsbook, and the casino grew out of that: one account, one balance, a betting slip in one tab and a live blackjack table in the next. The live-dealer floor is the stronger half of the casino offer, while the slot catalogue is selective rather than sprawling.

It ranks fourth here on games alone, which is the yardstick this table uses. Judged on being a single account for a Saturday afternoon of football and an hour of roulette afterwards, it is the most practical entry on the list.

  5. Happy Tiger logo

    Happy Tiger

    happytiger.co.uk

    7.4 Score /10
    • Small by design
    • Slots-only focus
    • Thin live section

One of the newer names on this list, and the most compact: a slots-led lobby without the jackpot shelves, tournaments or side products the bigger brands stack up, and a live-dealer section that covers the basics and stops there.

Last place on our criteria is not a verdict on the site so much as a description of its size. A short, tidy catalogue is a genuine preference, and if the endless scroll of a large lobby puts you off, the smallest entry in the table may be the one that suits.

The spine of this comparison

Game range and live tables: what actually separates these five

Catalogue size is the number every operator quotes and the one that tells you least. A lobby of two thousand slots that can only be sorted by "popular" is harder to use than six hundred titles with a working filter, which is why our slot-range column is a judgement about depth and retrieval, not a headcount.

Studio depth is the more revealing measure. A site carrying a broad spread of studios gives you genuinely different maths and mechanics; a site leaning on one supplier gives you the same game in fifty costumes. NYSpins is the clearest example of the first, Happy Tiger of the second.

Live tables split the table more sharply still. A full live floor means roulette and blackjack in several stake bands, baccarat, and the game-show formats — and, crucially, seats free at nine on a Saturday evening. A thin one means two roulette wheels and a queue. Three of the five sites here run a full suite; one keeps a token presence.

None of this is fixed. Operators change suppliers, retire tables and rebuild lobbies, which is why every row carries the date we last checked it and why we re-read the table monthly. How slots actually work covers the mechanics behind the slot columns in more detail.

Questions

One myth, one fact, three practical answers

  1. Myth

"A slot that hasn't paid out for a while must be due."

It isn't, and the belief costs people money. Every spin is generated independently, so a machine has no memory of the last hour and no obligation to balance the books afterwards. Return to player is a long-run average measured across millions of spins, not a promise about your session, and no pattern of past results changes what the next spin does.

  2. Fact

Every site in this table has to be part of GamStop.

Signing up to the national self-exclusion scheme is a condition of holding a UK remote licence. Register once at gamstop.co.uk, choose six months, one year or five years, and every British-licensed operator — including all five here — must block you for that period. It is free, and it applies whether or not you have an account with them yet.

  3. Practical

How do I check a licence myself?

Open the Gambling Commission's public register, search the trading name or the website address, and read the entry: it names the licensed company, lists the account number and shows the status of the licence and the activities it covers. If a site you were sent to isn't there, that is the end of the conversation — and worth knowing before you hand over any details.

  4. Practical

Live dealer or software tables — does the difference matter?

It changes the experience rather than the odds. Live roulette is a real wheel filmed in a studio, dealt at the dealer's pace, with chat and other players at the table; a software roulette game runs on the same random number generator that powers slots and moves as fast as you click. Live rooms have fixed stake bands and can fill up at peak times; software tables are always free and usually accept smaller stakes.

  5. Practical

Is the wagering requirement more important than the size of the offer?

Nearly always. A generous-looking match with a heavy playthrough condition, a short expiry and a cap on winnings can be worth less than a modest offer with plain terms. Read three things before you accept anything: how many times the bonus must be staked, how long you have, and which games count towards it — slots usually contribute in full, live tables often far less or not at all.
